Group of girls stabbed 2 women in Thompson: RCMP
Two women were stabbed in Thompson on Friday, and the RCMP is asking the public for help identifying their attackers.
Mounties provided first aid to a woman, 33, who had been stabbed outside a business on Kelsey Bay in northern Manitoba around 9 p.m., according to a news release on Tuesday.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in stable condition, RCMP said.
Approximately 20 minutes later, RCMP officers were flagged down on Station Road and found a woman, 30, who had also been stabbed. She was taken to hospital and later released, RCMP said.
Mounties believe the two assaults were related and involved a group of four to six girls in the area. Mounties patrolled the area but did not locate any suspects, according to the release.
No other attacks have been reported, the Mounties say.
