Silver alert cancelled after 77-year-old Winnipeg man found safe
Winnipeg police have cancelled a silver alert for a man who was reported missing on Wednesday morning, saying he has been located and is safe.
The alert was issued Wednesday afternoon, when police said the 77-year-old man had last been seen in the North Kildonan area.
An update a few hours later said he had been located.
A silver alert is issued whenever a vulnerable adult person is reported as missing.
A previous version of this story included the man’s name and photograph. Those have been removed in order to protect his privacy now that he has been located.
