Family, RCMP asking for help to find missing Thompson woman who may be in Winnipeg

A 44-year-old woman from northern Manitoba who was reported missing by her family nearly two weeks ago may now be in Winnipeg, RCMP say.

Carmen Chastelaine, from Thompson, was reported missing around noon on Sept. 11, 2024, after her family had not heard from her for a prolonged amount of time, RCMP said in a Tuesday news release.

Police have carried out searches at the places Chastelaine often goes to in and around Thompson, and have checked in with friends and family, RCMP say. Their investigation has led them to believe Chastelaine may be in Winnipeg.

She is described as 5’6″ and approximately 185 pounds, with short brown hair. She has “Billy” tattooed on her neck.

Anyone who has seen Chastelaine or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to call Thomposon RCMP at 204-677-6909, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
