Man dies after being found critically injured and unresponsive in Thompson

The man was discovered with life-threatening injuries around 6:30 a.m. Saturday near the public library on Thompson Drive. He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

A man found unresponsive in Thompson on the weekend has died, RCMP say.

The man was discovered with life-threatening injuries around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, near the public library on Thompson Drive.

He was rushed to hospital, then airlifted to Winnipeg in critical condition, RCMP said in a news release on Tuesday.

The man died from his injuries on Sunday.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide.
