Manitoba announces 431 COVID-19 cases, record-high 9 new deaths

Manitoba announced 431 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday and nine more deaths, bringing the number of people who have died from the illness in Manitoba to 123.

Wednesday’s total of nine is the highest number of deaths reported in a single day in the province since the pandemic began in March.

Records were also set Wednesday with 218 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 32 in intensive care.

The provincial test positivity also increase slightly to 10.7 per cent, which is another record, and 10.8 per cent in Winnipeg.
