Missing woman believed to have left Ebb & Flow First Nation found safe, say RCMP

A 22-year-old woman who was reported missing from Ebb & Flow First Nation late last week has been found safe, say RCMP.

On Sunday afternoon, Manitoba RCMP issued a news release seeking information on the whereabouts of the woman, who had been reported missing Friday evening from Ebb & Flow First Nation, a community 180 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

At the time, police said they believed the woman had left the community.

Almost two hours after the original news release was issued, RCMP released an update saying the woman was “located safe and sound.”

CBC has removed the name and photo of the woman to protect her identity.
