Motorcycle driver dies after crash with van near Gladstone, Man.

A 21-year-old man is dead after a weekend crash between the motorcycle he was riding and a minivan near Gladstone, Man.

Neepawa RCMP responded to reports of a crash on Sunday shortly after noon on Highway 34 south of Highway 16 near Gladstone, about 135 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

Investigators believe a southbound motorcycle collided with a southbound minivan that was making a U-turn on the highway, RCMP said in a news release on Monday.

The motorcycle driver, a 21-year-old man from Austin, Man., died at the scene, RCMP said.

The 78-year-old minivan driver and a 73-year-old passenger weren’t injured, the news release said.

RCMP and forensic collision experts continue to investigate.
