The Jimmy Custer Memorial Dog Race took place on Amisk Lake Feb. 14-15, not far from the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border. The race is held each year to honour the region’s rich history of sled dog teams and to pay tribute to the late musher Jimmy Custer.
