RCMP issue arrest warrant after man, 42, shot at apartment complex in The Pas
A man is recovering in a Winnipeg hospital after being shot in an apartment complex in a northern Manitoba town.
Mounties from The Pas were alerted to an incident on Cathedral Avenue around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, according to a Monday news release.
Officers found a 42-year-old man in the building’s stairwell having sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body, the release said.
Police say witnesses reported two suspects leaving the complex after the shooting, and witnesses reported two male suspects fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical but stable condition and was later airlifted to Winnipeg for additional treatment, the release said.
