Warrant issued for man charged with murder in Thompson stabbing
Manitoba RCMP are looking for a 20-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in a fatal stabbing in Thompson earlier this week.
Gregory James Spence was charged in connection with the stabbing on Wednesday. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Spence, who’s believed to still be in the Thompson area, Mounties said in a news release Thursday.
The update comes after Thompson RCMP received a report of a stabbing in the northern Manitoba city’s Eastwood area around 1 p.m. on Monday.
A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he died. Police said a nearby home was identified as the scene of the incident and secured.
Anyone with information on where Spence is located is asked to call Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6909 or 204-677-6911.
