Winnipeg police search for driver after pedestrian struck in September hit and run
An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition after a hit and run in Winnipeg a month ago, and police are looking for help finding the driver.
Police were called to the scene near the intersection of St. Anne’s Road and Granby Bay for a report of a pedestrian hit by a car on Sept. 29 at approximately 3:30 a.m., a Sunday news release said.
An investigation determined the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a northbound vehicle on St. Anne’s Road that fled the area after the collision. Another driver passing by shortly after called emergency services, police said.
The woman had serious, but non life-threatening injuries and was later upgraded to stable condition in hospital, police said.
Police are asking the public’s assistance to identify the driver.
