A woman walking home from a bus stop was pushed down and sexually assaulted by a man in a south Winnipeg park at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking home from Pembina Highway when she was pushed to the ground by an unknown man, police said.

The man sexually assaulted her before fleeing on a bicycle.

The man spoke English, had an average build and was about five feet, eight inches tall, the news release said. He was wearing all black, including a black baseball cap, pants and a face mask like those worn to prevent COVID infection.
