Crash closes section of Portage Avenue
A motor vehicle crash involving has closed a section of Portage Avenue Friday morning.
A post on X from the Winnipeg Transportation Management Centre said Portage Avenue is fully closed between Cavalier and David Streets due to a crash on Bedson Street.
Winnipeg police said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, and one person has been taken to hospital with injuries.
Emergency crews are on scene, and drivers should expect delays through the day.
Manitoba Hydro said the vehicle hit a power pole, knocking out power for 1,350 customers in the area.
Winnipeg police said a release on the crash will be coming later Friday.
