Freezing weather prompts school bus cancellations in Manitoba
As southern Manitoba experiences freezing cold temperatures on Thursday, some school divisions have opted to cancel school buses.
In the Brandon School Division, buses are not running outside the city of Brandon but will be operating within the city. All schools are open. Attendance at schools is at parental discretion where travel is required.
Division Scolaire Franco-Manitobaine has cancelled bus routes for École La Source and École Notre-Dame de Lourdes. Both schools are open on Thursday.
These cancellations come as Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for several communities in Manitoba.
