Incident resolved after reports of man armed with knife at U of M
The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) said an incident involving a man armed with a knife at the University of Manitoba on Tuesday morning has been resolved.
Police noted there is no imminent threat to public safety. The major crimes unit is investigating the incident.
Around 7:40 a.m., police reported that a man with a knife was at the Allen Building, located at 30 Sifton Rd. A dangerous person alert was also sent to mobile devices, television, and radio.

Later in the morning, the U of M advised those on campus to remain where they are and lock all doors. Those who were not on campus were told not to come.
The school said the shelter in place has since been lifted.
All classes, exams, and events have been cancelled for the rest of Tuesday.
All virtual classes and those at the Bannatyne campus will continue for the day.
