Winnipeg police to announce arrests after THC edibles handed out on Halloween

The Winnipeg Police Service will be announcing arrests connected to the THC edibles that were handed out on Halloween.

On Tuesday, officers announced they received at least half a dozen reports of kids getting cannabis edibles while trick-or-treating. All of the reports were from Winnipeg’s South Tuxedo neighbourhood.

The product came in a package that looks like candy, but contains 600 milligrams of THC.

On Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., police are holding a news conference to announce arrests related to these reports. CTV News Winnipeg will live-stream the event.

CTV News Winnipeg will provide more information as it becomes available.
