Formidable! Aznavour

The Story of a Legend

Starring the internationally acclaimed JULES GRISON

Produced in 2016, Formidable! The Show is a tribute to Charles Aznavour. The show takes us back to the streets of Paris in the era of ‘Bohemia’ to give us an insight into the incredible career of Charles Aznavour through his greatest songs which are known throughout the world and form an integral part of the world’s musical heritage.

With projected images and videos at the back of the stage and an original production and decoration, this show is the greatest ever tribute to Charles Aznavour’s career.

After the success of Piaf! The Show with almost 400 productions in 50 different countries, one questions in particular came up over and over again when talking to the audience: ‘Why don’t you produce a show on Charles Aznavour…?’

I came to realize to what extent Charles Aznavour is renowned throughout the world, on a similar level to Edith Piaf, and I began to consider producing a show on his career although I only wished to do so if I had his consent. And so Jules Grison and I went to meet Charles Aznavour on the 15th of October 2017 in Madison Square Garden in New York City, during his world tour, in order to present him with the concept of the show.

Thanks to the reputation of our work throughout the world combined with his desire to reach out to a younger generation, he gave the project his blessing. Since that day, we have worked tirelessly to produce a high quality show worthy of his incredible career and of the icon that he has become today.
