A 32-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a passenger vehicle early Monday morning. 

Driver of vehicle remained at scene of collision that happened just after midnight, Winnipeg police say

A 32-year-old Winnipeg woman is dead after she was hit by a passenger vehicle early Monday morning. 

Winnipeg police were called to the collision at Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street shortly after midnight, a Monday news release said.

Paramedics took the pedestrian in unstable condition to hospital, where she later died. 

Police said they have notified the woman’s family.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene of the crash and spoke to officers.

The police service’s traffic division is still investigating the crash. Police are asking anyone with information about the collision, including video or dashcam video footage, to call investigators at 204-986-7085, or contact Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.
