A 15-year-old boy died after he jumped out of a moving vehicle in the Interlake region last month, Manitoba RCMP say.
Police received a call June 13 saying a youth had jumped out of a moving vehicle on Highway 6 near Road 168 N. in the rural municipality of Grahamdale, an RCMP news release said on Wednesday.
The 15-year-old from Pinaymootang First Nation suffered severe injuries, RCMP said. He was taken to a local hospital, then to a Winnipeg hospital, before he died.
The teen was in a vehicle with three other youth, and the vehicle appeared to be travelling at high speeds when he jumped out, police said.
RCMP continue to investigate.
