2 men charged with 2nd-degree murder in death of Winnipeg man after North End shooting

Police have charged two men with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 32-year-old man after a shooting at a Winnipeg home earlier this week.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Redwood Avenue, near Powers Street, around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers searched the home and found a man suffering from serious injuries. Paramedics took him in critical condition to the hospital, where he later died, police said in a news release Friday. 

The victim has since been identified as Colin Jessie Bernardine Herbert, 32, from Winnipeg.

Two men, 32 and 36 years old, have been arrested in connection with Bernardine’s death.

Pierre Flett, 36, faces several charges, including second-degree murder, firearms contraventions, failing to comply with conditions of release order and possession of methamphetamine. Jared Jackson Bushie, 32, is charged with second-degree murder.
