In Celebration of International Women’s Day

Are you or your organization looking for a way to celebrate International Women’s Day?

Join Habitat for Humanity for the Women Build Speaker Series breakfast on March 6, 2020 at the RBC Convention Centre.

The Women Build Speaker Series highlights successful and inspiring women in our community who share their stories to help empower others. Proceeds from this event go toward the construction of the 17th Women Build sponsored home that will be purchased by Teru, a single mother of three children.

The Women Build program not only provides a way for families to gain stability and strength, but also creates volunteer opportunities for women to learn construction and leadership skills in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Guest Speaker
Jessica Dumas

Chair, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Board
Jessica is the President and lead of Jessica Dumas Coaching and Training in Indigenous Awareness, as well as a Certified Lifestyle Coach, helping women to reclaim their confidence.

She is a sought-after speaker in the areas of women in business, leadership success and Indigenous inclusion, as well as an emcee of several conferences and evening galas. Jessica can often be found moderating conference panels, sharing a Facebook live message or introducing Michelle Obama to thousands of people. She is an energetic and motivated professional who quickly gains the trust of her clients and audience with her warm and engaging personality and professional style.

Jessica is an award winning professional and avid volunteer. She is currently serving as the first Indigenous Female to Chair the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and she has served as the Chairperson for the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce.

She is a powerful role model and advocate for self-love and social justice, by turning a tragic family experience, the shocking and sudden loss of her brother in 2005, into an opportunity to lead others to overcome challenge and hardship by developing personal strengths, vision and self-confidence and demonstrating her own story of reconciliation.
