Police investigate death of man, 46, on Furby Street

Winnipeg police officers say they are investigating the death of a 46-year-old man as a homicide after he was found on the 500 block of Furby Street.

Winnipeg police officers say they are investigating the death of a 46-year-old man as a homicide after he was found on Furby Street. 

Officers responded to a report of a critically injured man on Furby Street, between Ellice and Sargent avenues, Sunday at 2:30 a.m., police said in a news release on Monday. 

The man was taken to a hospital in unstable condition where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Police identified the man as Abubakarr Koroma from Winnipeg. 

Officers said they think “an altercation took place” between the victim and another individual.
