CBC-Radio Canada’s over-the-air broadcast channels will be unavailable in Winnipeg for a few hours starting Tuesday morning.

Over-the-air television channels in both English and French will be unavailable between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Radio signal on 89.3 FM may also be disrupted during this time.

A loose wire, possibly related to recent stormy weather, was discovered last week by crews inspecting the transmission tower atop the Richardson Building in downtown Winnipeg.

A service outage is needed to allow climbers to do their work safely.
